Audio Technica M50s

They're so amazing for the price, I would never get anything else. Especially *shudders* Beats by Dre... Any of you guys own them? What do you think? Also, do you have any suggestions for other headphones in that price range that are better?

Probably one of my favorite headphones for recording sessions. Really great price for how comfortable and how accurate the response is (relatively...of course they are headphones).

I own a pair of these and honestly they are one of the best headphones I've ever tried. The sound is so accurate and the lows are just right, not too pronounced but definitely there, while the mids are amazing, and highs are just right. These really are just my go-to headphones for everything. You can't get anything else out there like these for the price. I got mine off ebay for only $100 too! As you can see, I highly recommend them.

They're a pretty good set of headphones for the price. However, I don't think they're as good as all the hype claim them out to be. The soundstage is decent for a closed-back, but it's not particularly fantastic. The treble is a bit too sharp for my tastes. The low-end is there, but it's not very full, if you know what I mean. If you want something that has a bit more oomph while also being more comfortable and having a wider soundstage, I would check out DT 770s. However, I do have to say that the DT 770s aren't nearly as portable as the M50s.
All in all, M50s are a very, very decent pair of headphones that unfortunately don't live up to their hype.
