I will say the Beatles. Your question is quite...open ended I must say. How can you say what is better? Which do I prefer? Beatles I guess..I don't hate Elvis but....you question is odd.  ;)

Although Elvis was one of the biggest inspirations for John Lennon and Paul McCartney when they were first getting started in the industry and just starting out with their first band, the Quarrymen, I will always say that the Beatles were much better and much more my taste.

lol The Beatles at 100% on the poll there. Elvis didn't transform into anything positive in the later years. The Beatles did. They were able to successfully alter their music with the times. Staying significant & epic in the process.

I would say The Beatles and that is the one I voted for because they have had more number one albums and they sold tons of music. Yes I like listening to Elvis and he became successful too but I like The Beatles the best.

I usually despise polls like this because how they heck is someone supposed to choose between two greats like this?

Both are fantastic in my book, but I prefer the Beatles for sure. They just have a more diverse range of music than Elvis did and I'm usually ready to move on from my Elvis stuff after about 20 minutes. Beatles are a band I can listen to for hours.

If I absolutely had to pick one, I would pick Elvis.  When I was a kid, I loved him (although he died before I was born).  I do enjoy the Beatles alot, too. Such a tough choice!

I really enjoyed the beatles. I not against Elvis but the Beatles had feel good music. They put out a great deal of albums and they are legendary. Ask anyone and they can pretty much tell you who they are. It takes a while to become that famous and talented but they did it which was great.

Elvis for sure! He is the most iconic person of the rock industry and I wouldn't choose anyone over him!
Too bad he died too soon, but at least he left a legacy!

It has to be Elvis for me, not always a popular choice considering I live so close to Liverpool but my Mum was an Elvis fan so that is what I grew up listening to so it holds a lot of nostalgia for me.

This is such a tough one since they are both amazing but I think personally if I had to choose one I would say the Beatles.

I'm probably the outcast on this one...Not a big fan of either TBH. I enjoy a lot of the musical aspects in Elvis' songs, but knowing tht they basically took african american music, gave the original artists / musicians no credit and slapped Elvis' face n voice on it, is a big turn off 2 me. I understand marketing n that this is an industry with business in mind - still doesn't sit well w/ me...idk

Ppl's jaws always drop when I say I don't like the Beatles...everyone acts like a pre-requisite for being passionate about music is enjoying the Beatles. For me, they were pioneers in the industry, in the studio and with the methods at the time they were cutting edge - BUT, the music itself is not something I enjoy at all...

I pretty much agree, so put us both in the outcast corner. People are always shocked when I say I don’t care for the Beatles. I do recognize that they were revolutionary, they were pioneers, etc. but I’ve found that I enjoy Beatles covers more so than I do the originals. Which does speak to the songs being good, but I don’t know, it’s just not for me. And the same is true of Elvis, more or less.

Granted, I've never listened to much of Elvis's music, but based on what I know of both artists, I feel that The Beatles have had a greater impact on modern music and I personally prefer it as well.  On the other hand, it's difficult to compare the two artists for me, since I'm biased towards the Fab Four and I don't know nearly enough about either artist in terms of music history.
