What genre of music do you produce?
« on: April 11, 2013, 02:46:00 PM »
I produce Dubstep, reggae dubs, minimal house and occasionally some techno. Interested to know what genre of music you produce?, whether you are in a band or produce electronically.

I produce rap, r & b, techno etc. I do not see any boundaries to my talent. I do not want anyone to mistake my confidence for cockiness. You must believe in what you put out there into the general public. You will receive many turn downs. Eventually you will get your big break.

Hmm, I produce whatever takes my mood at the time. Or sometimes, when I am just sitting down ready to make something, and I intend upon making a specific genre, things seldom go my way, and then I end up going down a completely different route as far as genre is concerned. It's great though. I don't mind what genre I am creating as long as I had fun creating it. That's the important thing. What I enjoy the most though, id blending genres.

i am a big dubstep fan because of the bass, it just sounds good to me. Everyone has their own preferences I suppose as well as an amateur dubstep artist.

I tend to produce hip hop music.  That's what my computer programs are basically designed to do.  If I had the space and could make a lot of noise then I'd probably get more into playing electric guitar and drums.  If you only own a computer and a pair of headphones you are kind of limited to producing hip hop for the most part.  I tend to use FL for my music.

I hate to put a label or category on my production that limits it to one thing or another, but I do primarily make Hip-Hop music. I've touched the surface on some EDM, pop, rock and country, but I'd say my specialty is still hip hop for the time being. I'd really like to break out into other genres and produce songs for any talented artists regardless of their genre of music - and TBH i'm starting to see more talent in the other genres and less in my own personal preference of hiphop.

I attempt to make every genre that can be created adequately with just software. Some genres require several real instruments to bring the real vibe of that genre to life, but there are producers out here that can emulate most real instruments electronically/digitally with some fairly accurate precision

I produce what is needed. I do scores for audio visual projects and it really depends on the theme of the video. I have composed music from every genre possible in the last 20 years.

I produce mostly Dubstep and D&B. Over time this got boring as I "figured" it out, and make more slow-trance/downtempo style instrumentals. Drum and bass is one of the best starter genres for producers though. If you can make good dnb, you can make good anything.

Hip-Hop and Dubstep mostly. I like all kinds to be honest though.
