I always see ads like the ones here about online music production schools and "audio recording courses", and they are .edu websites so I think they're pretty legit but I just don't know how well a online program would compare to actually attending a university like some of the ones in your article. Sometimes they seem like they're selling a product rather than an education:

The one I'm seeing right now is

Music Production Design
learn.TFA.edu/Music
Pursue Your Passion & Earn A Degree In Recording Arts. Enroll Today!

I'm not sure what that even means - Design doesn't seem to fit with audio engineering or producing or nothing, but maybe I'm just out of the loop.

Great article btw. Thanks for listing out the prices on some of the schools, I found a different section on 2infamouz that's a directory of the top music schools - Always wanted to get a degree in music =\ I think that it's a little late now in my life to go back to college.

I went to Lyndon State in Vermont. They offer a Music Business and Industry major with minors in production, event management, and theatre. The students can have many minors. The students have active training from teachers that were in the field. One of them being a member of the Mighty Bosstones. I had a friend who interned with James Taylor and Bette Midler while at school there. I just thought I would recommend the school to any interested in Music Business.
