Did you choose the last song you heard?
« on: April 21, 2015, 05:59:31 AM »
The last song I listened to was "good to be alive" by Imelda May I chose it and thoroughly enjoyed it, it is a feel good song and perfect for this lovely sunny day. What about you? What was the last song you heard? did you choose it and did you enjoy it if you didn't choose it?

The last song I heard was this song on the radio, I don't remember the name but I didn't choose it. I really enjoyed it though I wish I knew the name I would definitely download it.

I'm in Starbucks listening to their playlist, and currently it's something vaguely familiar that I can't place. I want to say it's Thom Yorke but that can't be right. So I didn't choose it, but I'm definitely not complaining.

Which reminds me, the other Starbucks I frequent ALWAYS plays the saddest Blur song when I'm there, haha. It's a good song, but guys, does it have to play EVERY SINGLE TIME? Gets a girl down!

I did get to pick the song I heard last. It was on my drive home from a pizza place (I may or may not have polished off a couple small pies). Something from Maroon 5's latest album, I think it was.

Oh god that is soooo annoying when that happens! I can spend hours looking up lyrics and humming tunes at people that are just kind of sitting there looking at you like you are insane.

I hate when you go into a shop and there is always a sad song playing, it makes me a bit reluctant to go in there. I do love a bit of Blur though!

I'm not judging, I just ate a whole bowl of chocolate angel delight! I quite like their new stuff, I don't find it as good as their classic stuff though to be honest..... What flavour pies were they?

I know right? On both counts ;) It's weird how one Starbucks seems to have more upbeat music in general than the others. Wonder what that's about.

Anyway, this time around I did choose the last song I heard. I just bought a used car with a busted stereo (though the dealership offered to fix it and pay for the repair themselves, so that's happening ASAP) soooo I've ended up just playing music from my laptop, haha. Lackluster sound, but at least I can choose my music! It was “Losers” by the Cardigans.

Over 90% if the songs I hear I chose myself. I cannot be subjected to the radio if I do not want to. I love my Pandora, and Spotify. These are the best creations ever.

Nope, I was at a restaurant nearby and they played some classical music. It was definitely enjoyable and it added to the atmosphere.

According to last.fm, the last song I heard was Naked Heart by The Street Beats. And yeah, I did choose it. I never listen to the radio, and I don't even use the online "radio"/discovery services, since Pandora doesn't work here and Spotify's radio system is absolutely worthless, so I only very rarely not choose the songs I hear.

I didn't. It was some Mayday Parade (who I don't really care for) song that my sister had blasting from when she was in the shower. I didn't like it the first time she played it, and I sure didn't like it any more the fortieth time she played it.

No. It was some Beats Antique song that reminded me of music that would play at a Mexican restaurant, then my roommate made me get up and tried to teach me how to salsa dance. That was not my choice at all.

I almost never choose the last song I heard haha, I listen to a lot of playlist and online radio so a good amount of the time it's a randomly selected song within a certain genre being played for me while I do something else, this is all of course not accounting for when artist that I like release new stuff and post it on social medias, then I go and check it out myself. Oh yeah, lost song was "I'm Shady" By Em - Pandora

It may be their inside joke:

'Hey, hey, she's coming...'
*door opens*
'...Yeah I found nowhere. It got to know me. Let me sleep all day. Spent the money. I haven't felt my legs...'
*snickering behind counter*
