Online Mastering Services?
« on: May 08, 2013, 07:40:05 PM »
Online Mastering Services are popping up all over the web. Who do you guys trust when it comes to sending out your tracks for mastering? Is it recommended to utilize online mastering services for projects or is sticking with local studios or sending out to larger mastering studios more preferred?

I'd rather go to someone I can talk to in person and see what kind of equipment they're working with - and hear some tracks they've previously mastered. I've heard some sketchy stuff about online mastering services and I'm a bit skeptical...

I do provide online mix/master services and have dozens happy clients around the world.
Need to speek in person? Skype, Hangout, Whatsapp... - I heard these apps been invented a while ago))

The pros of working with online services is that client can choose the studio/engineer which is most comfortable for him to work with.
And no need to be limited by just local studios.

Right now I am mixing huge album for Australian Ikonic Artists label having Skype chat frequently and solving out lots things on the fly!
